OJ gets a new personal best in Cardiff

With nerves, apprehension and adrenalin all beginning to kick in, I sat down on machine no.2 in preparation for the pain that would suddenly kick in with 500m to go.

After the words READY, ATTENTION, ROW….I was off

After a frantic start of trying to get the flywheel moving I soon settled into a steady pace. The middle part was tough because I knew that pushing too hard would end up in me crashing hard.

With 350m to go I started to up my pace and was pulling 1:36/500m finishing strong and managed to finish with a time of 6 mins 31.2 secs

Next events are the English Indoor Rowing Championships in Manchester on February 12th 2012 and the British Indoor Rowing Championships on March 25th.
